Fresh Random Act of Kindness!

Yesterday our Bible Study classes resumed for the season at Christ the King Cathedral in Lexington, Kentucky.   It's always wonderful to see old friends I haven't seen all summer!  The classes draw ladies and gentlemen of all ages from all Catholic churches in Lexington and the counties surrounding Fayette County, Kentucky, plus quite a few from other Christian churches.

New last year was a class for pre-schoolers.  We have coffee and doughnuts every week, a very handy treat, especially for all those rushing children off to school, and all of us contending with the heavy morning rush-hour traffic.  Our leader, Lavinia Spirito, was especially engaging!  There were at least 250 people present.  All of the classes are recorded, put on CDs and DVDs, and made available to parishes across the country and abroad.  (For more information, please go to cwbs.org.)

When we took a short break, midway through the morning, a special announcement was made: a $100.00 bill was put in the donation basket!  Wow!  What a great act of kindness!

I would highly recommend you seek out a Bible Study class for at least a hundred reasons!  Of course, you meet a lot of really nice folks and learn much about your faith.  You get to sing a little and pray a little, together.  but the best reason is spiritual enrichment, very fulfilling!

Dear Lord, thank you for inspiring all those who work to make these wonderful classes possible, especially our leader, Lavinia!
